Renovation and Interiors Support
Hiring a professional interior designer can set you back thousands of pounds when sometimes all you need is someone with a good eye, and most importantly the ability to ensure the tradesmen involved deliver on time and within budget.
If you don’t have the time or ability to manage a project, I can do it for you and I offer a service which guides you through the entire process.
After an initial consultation I’ll create a bespoke package tailored to your needs according to the budget and size of project and based on my hourly rate. Once this has been agreed, I can create mood boards, colour palettes, scale drawings, suggest ideas for storage solutions and accessorising. On top of this, I manage the whole process for you, from organising the contractors, managing the work, sourcing furniture and accessories, right down to the finishing touches. I have a tried and tested list of contacts containing details of reliable builders and tradesmen.
Case Study
The brief: To give a facelift to an entire loft style apartment in EC1, which comprised of a large kitchen and living room, large balcony, two bedrooms, one en-suite shower room, one bathroom and large hallway. Plus provide a colour scheme and install additional lighting.
After consulting with the client it was obvious he needed a lot of storage space in the main living space. I designed a large bespoke shelving unit to accommodate books, stereo and TV equipment in this room, which was built and spray painted off site. I was also required to source new furniture, large plants, decorative objects, cushions, etc.
The shower room also got a total makeover, changing the tiling throughout and installing masculine fittings, at the client’s request, and gave it the transformation he was looking for. Plus a sparse but fantastic balcony with amazing views over the city which I brought to life with accessories, planters and newly installed uplighting, effectively creating a new living space outside.
I sourced additional furniture and once the apartment was decorated, I tied it all together with lighting and accessories.
This project was brought in on budget and within timescale. My client was delighted with the results.
Other projects over the last ten years have included:-
- Townhouse in North London – complete facelift including new fitted kitchen and bathrooms
- Edwardian house in North West London – loft conversion including ensuite shower room and facelift
- Victorian house in West London – complete facelift including new fitted kitchen
- Company meeting room in West London – converted from corporate to bohemian Moroccan style
A few words from a client
"Jo successfully managed the renovation of my apartment in EC1 and went over and above to ensure I was happy with the end result. She took care of all aspects of the process including the planning, sourcing of furniture and accessories, creating storage solutions, recruiting tradesmen and providing interiors advice. This was all attained on time and within budget
I was out of the country for the majority of the time the renovation was taking place and felt comfortable leaving Jo to deal with everything in my absence, which she did so in an extremely efficient, professional manner, consulting with me where necessary.
We built an excellent working relationship during this time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jo for any support you require whilst updating your property as she did a five star job for me!
